Chinese Live-Streaming Apps (Douyin, Kuaishou, Douyu, Huya) vs. Stripchat: What Their Rules Say
Published: 2026-10-07 / Updated: 2026-10-07
Popular live-streaming apps in China include Douyin, Kuaishou, Douyu and Huya.
On October 7, 2026, we checked their official pages and searched Apple's App Store in the Japan, Taiwan and China storefronts.
In short, all four are general-audience apps, and Douyin and Douyu ban obscene and pornographic content in their terms. If you are looking for adult streams from performers who stream in Chinese, see how Stripchat's Chinese category differs.

In our App Store search, Kuaishou, Douyu and Huya were in the Japan storefront. Douyin was not, but it was in the China storefront.
| App | App Store (Japan) | What official pages and reports say |
|---|---|---|
| Douyin | Not listed (listed in the China store) | Posting requires verification with a mainland China phone number and ID, per a report. Reports differ on whether sign-up from abroad is open |
| Kuaishou | Listed | We could not check the text of its terms |
| Douyu | Listed | Its terms say it may ask for real-name verification |
| Huya | Listed | We could not check the text of its terms |
We could not confirm whether any of the four accepts sign-up with a phone number from outside mainland China. We did not check the US App Store.
Do Douyin, Kuaishou, Douyu and Huya Allow Adult Streams?
No. Douyin and Douyu ban obscene and pornographic content in their terms.
- Douyin: its user agreement bans obscene and pornographic content.
- Douyu: its member terms ban obscene and pornographic content.
- Kuaishou: a Taiwanese news site reported in February 2026 that Beijing authorities fined it over sexual content in late-night livestreams.
- Huya: we could not check the text of its terms.
These are general-audience apps, not places to look for adult streams.
